Combining the 755nm Alexandrite (Apogee 5500) and 1064nm Nd:YAG is the "gold standard" for types IV-VI. This is a serious "no compromise" laser for hair removal.

The Elite is variable pulsed with both the 1064nm and 755nm wavelenghts. The 1064nm may also be effectively used as vascular and non-ablative laser.

In addition, shortening the pulse width on the 755nm wavelenght to .05ms will treat specific pigmented lesions. The independent SmartCool system allows for very light handpieces which significantly reduce operator fatigue when treating large areas.

Our Apogee Elite™ Laser System from Cynosure has a 755 Alexandrite and a 1064 YAG wavelength, which is the most advanced technology available.

What that means is we can effectively treat any skin type without complications or adverse side effects with the energy levels required to disable the hair follicles.

The Elite laser emits a specific and focused pulse of energy that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. This energy is transmitted to the hair follicle to destroy it so that the hair strand will not grow again. The Elite cools the skin before, during and after the pulse of energy is emitted through the "Smart Cool" system. This system provides a continuous flow of chilled air during the procedure. This special feature minimizes discomfort, redness and swelling. In most individuals temporary and mild swelling may occur - this is normal and expected. In most cases it disappears in 24 -72 hours.

Unlike the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system, the Elite is a true laser, designed to deliver a specific wavelength of light to achieve maximum effect and minimize side-effects.
